The Booger Holler String Band is a group of 6 musicians who have
become friends over the course of many years, meeting each other
at various old-time music festivals. The band consists of Tom Van
Treese (fiddle), Gary Hazelton (bass), Bob Silberberg (banjo),
Lyda Toy (guitar), Clare Davis (fiddle), and Kay Van Treese
(mandolin/vocals). We’ve now been playing together for over 15
years. The Boogers won 1st place at the Florida Fiddlers Convention
Stringband Contest in 2008, 2006, and 2004, and have won various
other contests on both fiddle and banjo. We finally got around to
recording a CD in 2010. “Where The Pavement Ends” is now available
from County Sales and CDBaby.
