About

Dixie Diaspora
International

Dixie Diaspora is a compilation of Jewish music - 21 tunes ranging from Eastern European klezmer to modern folk music. In between are blues, dixieland, bossa novas and ballads sung in English, Hebrew, Ladino and Yiddish, representing Jewish sacred and secular music over the past 600 years. Proceeds from sales of this CD will help the Chapel Hill Kehillah (Hebrew for "community") purchase their new home, the first synagogue ever in Chapel Hill North Carolina.
