Just Plain Myrtle (left to right: Steve (mandolin and 'shaky thing'), Roger (acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle and vocals), Miranda (vocals and double bass), and Eddy (electric and acoustic guitar, vocals)) are based in Cornwall, UK, and tour the county entertaining local folk. eFolkMusic.org, which they joined in 2007, made it possible for a considerably wider audience to tune in. The band's wide-ranging repertoire includes both modern and traditional songs, in a variety of genres. Their music has been featured on Radio Cornwall, and they have published two CDs and the music video Just Plain Myrtle on Bodmin Moor. Mainly the band does covers, but an instrumental, The Old Grey Whistle Test (included in the playlist on this site), is their own composition.
