About

Simeon Peebler
Folk
Chicago, IL

Simeon “Simon” Peebler is a Chicago-based singer-songwriter who enjoys writing and performing his original Folk-inspired  music. He released his first album called “Follow the River Bend” in November of 2011 and his second album, "Missing Anchor" a year later, in October of 2012. Simeon studied guitar and songwriting at the the well known Chicago Old Town School of Folk Music. He also plays piano and is learning how to play the mandolin and ukulele.

Simeon has spent a career in technology development, recently making games for the Apple iPhone and Amazon Kindle, but has always had a passion for songwriting. He started out playing piano at a young age and listening to Beatles and Paul Simon on his little red record player in his room as a child.

Storytelling is a very important part of Simeon's work and he is eager to make each song have its own voice and point of view. He is drawn to traditional music because of its authenticity, and works to infuse his own original music with this kind of energy whenever possible.
