"Hi, my name is Alan Dickson and I'm a singer-songwriter based in the West End of Glasgow, Scotland. I write about my local area, the wider city and beyond. There's so much richness in our local culture that you can almost miss it. Like a lot of songwriters I was influenced by American music but gradually through the years I began to write about what I know best. Understanding comes in small measures and in its own time. It continues to grow and is what sustains my songwriting.
