"Late Bloomer" is a newly released CD by Karl "Harmless" Conrad which was produced by Jaime Brockett, long time outlaw Folk Legend. Karl mixes a few covers in with his own material, including the classic "Coal Tattoo," Donovan's "Catch The Wind" and John Gorka's "Pilot Light." Conrad mixes elements of folk, blues and country into his own style and sings with a style reminiscent of John Prine (with a similar tongue-in-cheek sense of humor). In a time of slick music and production, this record stands out with a great rootsy feel.
